Adoption Application

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Please note, we only handle the following states, MA, RI, NH, CT and Southern portions of ME.

We do not have a shelter facility for people to "meet the dogs".

All the dogs in our program are located in foster homes throughout New England.

Please Note: Before you fill out an application please be sure that rescue is the option you choose to add an addition to your family. Please don't use our time to take you through the process only to tell us you've changed your mind or you bought a puppy etc. We would like our volunteers to focus their efforts and time on those applications that are serious in helping a rescued boxer. This is not a first come/first serve procedure as we take great care in matching our dogs to prospective homes.

All applicants are contacted via email once the application is received. Please check your email frequently for our response to your application. Visit our "Adoption Process" page to learn more about the steps in the adoption process.

Personal Information

We have been forced to make some changes in our adoption policies so as to maximize the efforts put forth by our volunteers. We are now matching applicants with dogs PRIOR to processing their applications. Our hope is that this will enable our volunteers to concentrate on those who are serious about working with our organization, and understand our policies and our procedures.

We will review your application and contact you if we believe that we currently have a dog that is a good match for you, your family, and your specific circumstances. If there is a particular dog you are interested in, please let us know so that we can discuss compatibility.

Remember, we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis and we don't match our dogs based solely on age, color, gender, etc. Our goal is to match dogs to compatible homes based on the needs of both the dog and the adoptive family.

Your application will remain on file for 1 year from the date it is submitted and we will review your application when new dogs enter the program. Please let us know if you would like us to remove your application at any time during this 1 year period.

Please note that you will not be contacted until we have a dog that we feel is a match for your home. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at info@boxerbuddies.org.
