8/8 Bella boop is doing well and is the happiest little girl.  Bella came into our home a bit timid of people however with some stable dogs to show her the ropes, a little patience, you would not even know she was hesitant on meeting new people.  Bella has been wonderful with everyone she has met.  She is not shy or reserved she is right at the front lines pushing to meet everyone that comes over here.  Everyone comments of how huge her butt wiggle is and it goes from one side of her head to the other!  Bella continues to do really well in her kennel (she is still kenneled during the night hours and when we leave)....  we have noticed that when we arrive back at home she gets herself so worked up in excitement and anticipation by barking and whining that she has made herself vomit a couple times.  We try and keep our comings and goings very quite for her to help her gain a bit more self control to keep her excitement level down when we arrive or leave.  Bella wants to be in the middle of everything and doesn't want to miss anything.  We give her a marrow bone or a kong filled with food when we leave which does keep her occupied for awhile.  Bella allowed me to trim her nails with little to no fidgeting which was wonderful. Bella is still young and has the attention span of a knat....  if she is free roam in the house when we are here she needs to be watched cause she will make fun with things that aren't toys.  She has ruined a couple plants that she found to be VERY fun, she pulled apart a dog bed, started ripping my futon cover, chewed on some legs of furniture, etc...  The reasoning Bella does these things is because the items are within a couple inches of her and they are just there so why not however she is easily redirected and this is the reasoning why she should be monitored....  She plays plays plays....  Bella's favorite things to do is run and play with her canine buddies here throughout the house and wrestle, play tug, and have a jolly ol' time.  She is very energetic so another dog that will tolerate her and play with her would be ideal.  She does play rough and can get very vocal.  She really enjoys and does well with the fenced in yard and can access this during the day on her own whenever she wants.   Bella shares her toys and bones very well and I have seen NO issues.  Bella would not be able to stay home for a full work day.  She can remain in her kennel for up to 4 hours or so but then needs an outlet to drain some energy.  She is doing well with potty training too and we have had no accidents.

7/24 Bella is a silly little girl and is doing wonderful.  Bella would love to have a compatible canine friend in her forever home as she is still young and very active and she loves to wrestle and play.  She also would not object to a fenced in yard.  Bella is social and friendly with everyone she meets.  Is Bella a good fit for you home?

7/12 Bella continues to do very well in her foster home.  She is a typical curious boxer....  always having to check anything and everything out so I have to make sure to monitor her as she'll play with just about anything.  Bella continues to enjoy her doggy friends here and LOVES to romp, run, and wrestle.  She loves meeting new people and enjoys when company comes over.  Bella sleeps throughout the night in her crate with no issues and is fine crated when we leave for a short period of time.  Due to her age I don't think she could 'hold it' for a full work day so someone that is home more often then not or can come in in the middle of the day to let her out would be ideal.  Everyone that meets her thinks she is the prettiest little thing and I do have to agree!

7/1 Oh my is Bella doing great!  She absolutely adores her fur friends.  She follows there direction very well.  She has learned to go down into the basement on her own and let herself out for potty. We had a few accidents in the basement to no fault of hers.
She is still a puppy so she does need to be monitored...  we do allow her to go down the stairs through the basement and outside on her own however we can peak at her through a window or from the deck and praise her for doing such a great job.  Bella has really opened up and is quite entertaining for us humans and the dogs.  She goes through spurts of high energy where she races throughout the house, out onto the deck, flies back into the house, onto the futon, under the futon, throwing a toy around... it's pretty comical.  If she's not playing with one or all of her fur friends then she will entertain herself with a toy.  She loves to wrestle with the other dogs and also loves to play tug with them too.  When we cannot watch her then she goes into the kennel for a short amount of time.  She was very hesitant at first but with a little work she enters on her own when asked.  She sleeps in her kennel at night very quietly.
I would not trust Bella outside of her crate unattended at this point...  she is curious and will get into trouble if left to her own devices.  Bella does well with the cats.  She is gentle with them...sniffing them licking them.  She thinks they are the best things in the world and that they are here just for her to play with!  She tries SO hard to get each one to play with her by play bowing and barking, doing twirls, it's quite the hoot to watch.  She will chase here and there but with no ill intentions at all.  So a dog savvy cat would be fine for her to live with.  She is easily redirected as well.  Today she gave me a scare and it was a big reminder that she needs to be monitored once in awhile if we cannot see her....  she was on the porch, watching our cat cooter on the ground hunting for something, and she was able to fit her body through the poles on the back side of the deck (the spacing is just a little bit wide in that area) and was almost able to jump down....  WOW!

Bella is smart and food motivated which helps with her training.  She now understands that I want her waiting in the living room while we prepare their food at meal times or they are all under your feet.  It didn't take her long to get it and she needs to be reminded once in awhile, which is ok.  Personally I don't care what they do whether it be sit, down, or stand as long as they do not cross the living room rug onto the tile floor.  She also will sit and wait while I place her food on the floor until I release her.  How awesome!
There has been NO issues what so ever with her sharing toys or bones or near food or water bowls.  She does like to try and sneak around and steal a bone or toy or sneak her face into their food bowl when they are eating.  I redirect her when it comes to the food bowls...luckily my dogs don't feel the need to guard there food but I don't want her doing it.  She can be a little rude about it sometimes....  The resident dogs do well with teaching her manners when it comes to having a bone or toy she may want.  She takes direction pretty good and once in awhile she likes to test them....   We have had company stop by a couple times since she arrived and there have been no issues or fearfulness.  However she does have the other dogs to follow if they weren't hear I don't think she's approach them as quickly and openly as she does now.  I think that's all for now.

6/28 Bella has made it safe and sound to her foster home.  She is a sweet little girl...  Bella rode very well in the car, she rode on the floor curled up next to the air conditioning vent for a little while and would get up onto the seat to cuddle as close as possible to one of her foster brothers.  Bella is a little shy...  however with the companionship of her new buddy, Chisel, she felt brave and approached new people and greeted very nicely.  She wouldn't take any treats when we all first met but after awhile...  She followed Chisel very closely...  he took a treat, she took a treat...he took a drink he took a drink.  Very sweet and smart if you ask me!

Bella will be staying with 4 foster siblings (3 handsome boyz and 1 older goofy female) and 3 cats.  Today we are also babysitting my brothers dog, Sampi, and she has no objections to hanging out with 5 welcoming fur friends.

We gave her a little time in a room to herself before meeting everyone (with the option to peak out the gate if she wanted).  She was pretty quite, rarely made a peep.

Bella met all 5 fur friends and was very appropriate with each...  she also met a couple of our cats as well and did good.  She is shy and reserved but I bet as she gets used to everything and everyone she will open up.

Bella was comfortable tonight to eat all her dinner.  She is so cute and sweet...  watch for more updates as we get to know her more.

Bella really seems to open up with another dog(s) around so we'll be looking to place her with another canine companion in her forever home.

Bella is a gorgeous female boxer that is coming to us from a local shelter. She is very  timid  and  needs some socialization. She loves other dogs and seems to be ok with cats also. Watch for updates once we secure a foster home and get her out of the shelter.
