10/22 Dane is doing very well.  He really does need a home another canine companion, preferably a young one, as he's very bonded to our young dog Delilah and tends to play rough. He hasn't had any accidents inside of the house. He's very energetic as all boxers are and tends to play most of the day with our youngest dog. He is allowed up on furniture and the bed, but gets off when asked to do so. We use hand signals with him and he knows lay, sit, up, come, stay, we are working on crawl. We use choker collar when walking and he does very well. When you come to a stop, he's been trained to automatically sit. We are still using Core dog food and we use the wellness or Nutro dog biscuits (a.k.a. "cookies"). He gets his cookies in his crate, so if he knows he's getting a treat he automatically goes to his crate. He always gets a cookie after his last out at night. His normal bedtime is 10 PM and wake up time is 6 AM, which is his breakfast time. After breakfast he goes back into his crate and comes out after we get our son on the bus at 815 for the day. He tends to go out very often as he still has a puppy bladder. He drinks water freely, which makes him tend to pee more.

9/20 Dane is doing great.  He sometimes needs some redirecting but he is improving by leaps and bounds.  We often call him "Dane-O" and the two syllables is working much better for calling him to come.  It wasn't planned, it just developed as term of endearment :)  He will be an amazing addition to any family, but we still feel strongly that he needs another dog to live with

8/19 Dane is an amazing sweet dog that any family would be lucky to have.  He loves kids and requires another young dog to play with all day long.  He is happy and well behaved (as well behaved as any young boxer can be:)  He will chase the cat, but he really just wants to play .  Unfortunately that cat usually does not.  He is working on healing and has sit and lie down mastered.  We have taught him that getting up on couches and beds is fine when invited.  We believe his previous owner did not let him up at all so it was new for him.  He loves to go for walks with his foster sisters and is doing so well that one person can manage all three.  He will ask to go out and he has only had a few accidents in the house.  He enjoys lots of different types of dog toys and loves to rummage through the doggy toy box and pick just the right one.  He really needs a home with someone at home most of the time.

8/8 So far Dane is doing very well at his foster home.  You would think that he and Delilah (my 1 year old boxer) have been together forever.

We put his crate right next to hers and he went to bed perfectly tonight.  He is a sweetheart.  He has  not had any potty accidents, but we have been taking him out often.  We are absolutely thrilled to have him here.
