3/30 Dozer is doing great. No problems except some head shaking. I hope it's not ear mites. :( He seems really happy and is settling in nicely. I'm working with him on his "protective" behavior and his behavior toward men. He's fine with my husband and my dad who lives upstairs from me now and he met my brother today. He's great on a walk, doesn't try to stop and sniff at every pole and tree. He does fine in his crate (I've only put him in it once, he goes in no problem, he only cried for about 10 minutes and then was fine). That's about it for now! More updates as he settles in.
Meet Dozer #2. He is a very happy, friendly and energetic boy. Dozer does not do well with other small pets such as cats and small dogs. He is however fine with chickens !!! He does better with dogs of his size or larger but overall he seems to lack doggie social skills and has probably not been exposed to many other dogs in the past. He may do ok with another submissive canine companion provided their time together was supervised. . He is not crate trained but does fine with free room in a dog proof area of the house when home alone. |
