1/27 He is doing wonderful.  He still hasn’t had an accident in the house, which shows he has come a long way since he has been here.  He is very playful, and loves his toys.  He loves, loves, loves toys….stuffed and chewing ones.  He has really taken to Chloe , my 8 year old daughter, and I.  He loves to snuggle with her at bedtime for a little bit.  Occasionally he helps me wake up my kids with kisses in the morning on school days. I just tell him to wake up the kids and he seems to know exactly what to do!  He’s actually more effective than I am.  He loves everyone and anyone.  He is not aggressive by any means to any person or creature, although he occasionally sends out a nervous growl when someone new comes into our home (but I’ll have you know, he gives that growl from behind Ben or I).  He’s a big baby with a huge heart.  He’s curious about many things, and finds amusement in just about anything.  He does need a crate, as when left alone for even a short period of time he has some separation anxiety.  I definitely believe that he feels safer in his crate when he is left alone, but when not alone he’s everyone’s best friend!  At night, he is perfectly willing to sleep in bed with me when invited, and is great about staying in bed sleeping the whole night!

1/3 Jet is doing wonderful!  He hasn't had an accident in the house for a few weeks, and he has been out of his crate most of the time,
which means he's getting the "do your business" outside thing!! He rarely counter surfs now too:-)  We are so proud of his progress!
We do not leave him unattended in the house even for five minutes, as he loves to chew the oddest things, but that's not a big deal at all.
When Jet first came to us he hated going into his crate.  If you can imagine a dog with all fours out  front trying to push away from
going forward that was Jet when heading to the crate.  Now, he goes in on command, and also when he's a little tired he goes in on
his own and lies down.    He has become quite the calm and mellow dog as long as he gets his outside playtime with Roxy.  He loves to
cuddle and hang close to us when we're out and about in the house.  Attached are pics of Jet "spooning" his best buddy Roxy, and another
one of him outside in our first snow of the year.  He's so handsome!

11/26 Jet is going wonderful!  His neuter went well and we have already seen a huge difference in him.  He has calmed quite a bit.  The mounting is almost non-existent.  He is getting better with his manners, and is incredibly smart:)  He gets lots of exercise playing in our backyard with RoxyBoxy.  He is very good with my kids, which are ages 6 and 8.  He is a typical sweet  boxer that needs love, exercise and training.  He has been cuddling with us at night which is a nice change:)

11/8 - Jet is settling in at his foster home. He is a beautiful boxer, so cute!!  Jet has an incredibly huge heart! Other than the fact that he tries to "mount" my kids (when Roxy our Boxer isn't around) he is a dream! We are working on this behavior and this should also improve after his neuter.  Jet is awesome on a leash!  He doesn't pull at all with a gentle leader.  He sits on command (by saying sit, or snapping my fingers).  He learns quick! He has had a few accidents s in the house, and I think it's because he doesn't know  any better.  Our dog Roxy has been trained to ring a bell when she wants to go outside.  I have seen Jet ring it on his own a couple times, so I think he is catching on that when the bell rings, someone opens the door.  Jet is getting a lot of exercise which he needs!  He plays outside a lot with the kids and Roxy everyday, and I have been taking him and Roxy for walks every night.  He needs work on his manners but all in all he is a sweet boy.

11/7 Jet is doing well.  He played hard with Roxy for a few hours after arriving at our house.  He has not been jumping on the children at all since we have been home (he only did when they first met).  He does jump up to people and counters, but it’s not too bad, and we have been telling him “off”.  We’ve had a couple of pee accidents as expected, so we’re taking frequent trips outside.  He is a great dog though!  When Ben and Roxy went for a ride for new dog food I got to see more of Jet.  He is so incredibly sweet!  He is going to be a great addition to his forever home!  He doesn’t like to be alone, so he follows me around.  I have noticed that he is timid near men.  When he first met my brother and a friend on two separate instances he growled just a little and hid behind me for protection, but was fine when I told him it was okay and encouraged him to be friends.

Jet is a very happy boy FULL of energy. He is coming into rescue as his current family cannot provide him with the time, attention and exercise that he needs.  He has a lot of energy and needs an owner who can provide him with lots of daily exercise.  Good with cats, dogs and older kids.  Housebroken and crate trained.
