1/27 Well Lola is just doing great. We have come to call her Lola Love because she is such a little love bug. She loves to run around and play with her foster brother and sister and she even lets my one year old play fetch with her. She is amazingly gentle with him and seems to understand he needs patience and a tender hand. Lola is a very patient dog, but will make sure other dogs know her place. I have tested her with food aggression and she will allow me, my husband and even my son to take her food away, or put our hands in her bowl without issue, she will however, get testy if one of the other dogs comes near her food, or a treat, while she is eating it. We haven't had any issues, she'll just growl and snap at them, but if I interject myself into the situation she calms down. She is such a good girl and just loves people and other dogs. The family that adopts this little girl will be VERY lucky. Lola is doing great in her foster home. She has our two dogs to contend with, Brody who is 4 and Mika who is almost 4. They took a few days to figure out where they stood with each other, but now they are playing like old friends. I have found that once Lola get settled she has quite the personality on her. Mind you , she just came to us on Sunday and I think she is already feeling quite cozy. Lola is such a love. She loves lots of attention and her manners aren't too bad. She does need some training and she would do best with a family that has another dog and someone that is home most of the time. She does have some separation anxiety right now, but a lot of that could be due to her new environment and the fact that she has been separated from her brother Max for the first time. Any family that adopts Lola will be lucky, she truly is a personality and we're having a lot of fun fostering her. Right now she is at my side wiggling like crazy just begging for me to pet her. Lola is a gorgeous brindle female boxer. She is house broken & crate trained. Good with other dogs and kids. She is used to having someone who is home more often than not. Watch for updates once we secure a foster home and get to know her more. |
