For more information on this dog read his bio below

10/25 Otis is doing wonderful. He gets along great now with Breena his foster sister. She seems to act like the boss and he accepts that. On the other hand the cat and him do get along now she really doesn't want anything to do with him., I have taught him not to go after her so he just stares her down. She can deal with that. Hi is great in the crate alone for a while and I noticed he lets you know when he wants to go out. Someone will be very happy to have him as a pet .He is very loving and happy. He has not  destroyed anything in the house and he loves to play with the  toys I gave him.

9/21 Otis is still very much a puppy and loves to play, he will play with his toys for ages.  He can be skittish and shy when meeting new people. He does not bark when strangers come to the door or go bye the house. Breena has let him know she is the boss and he is fine with that.   He eats twice a day, once in the morning and again in the evening. He does not have any problems eating next to Breena and is not protective of his food at all. He is a very fast learner. It amazes me that he has calmed down so much. I  introduced him to the cat and  she scratched him on the nose but other than that the introduction was uneventful.  He is a great dog and does not have a bad bone in his body.  Being with Breena has helped him a lot.

9/9 Otis is settling in nicely at his foster home.  He is starting to come out of his shell and feel very much at home there.  Otis has had limited exposure to other dogs in the past and is sometimes a little unsure when it comes to doggie social skills.  He sometimes misinterprets signals from his foster sister and play time can get too rough.  This only happens out in the yard, they are the best of friends in the house.  However,  his foster Dad has been working hard on this with Otis and he is improving daily and is learning to enjoy the companionship and to play nicely with his foster sister.    They go for lots of LONG walks together which he really enjoys.   Otis is an extremely sweet and loyal companion.  New photos to follow soon.

8/17  Otis is settling in nicely at his foster home. He is getting used to sharing his home with another boxer and enjoying play time with his foster sister, although they are still working out some issues. Otis is eating well and doing his duty with no problems.  He has not met the cat yet we will wait till he settles in more before attempting careful introductions.  Otis went swimming in the pool over the weekend, this is obviously new to him so he only spent a short amount of time in the pool with assistance.  His foster sister loves to swim so hopefully Otis will learn to like it.  Watch for more updates as he settles in.

Otis's story is a sad one, he is coming into rescue as his elderly owner is physically no longer able to take care of Otis.  His owner is heartbroken to let him go but knows its the best thing for Otis.  Otis is shy when first meeting new people, he has not be well socialized outside of his current home.  He will need a home that is patient and is willing to work on this with Otis.  He does warm up to new people once he is given some time.  He has not been around other dogs too much either and may need some work in this area, he does not seem to be dog aggressive but has no clue how to interact.  He has no history with cats or small kids. He is a very sweet boy who needs some socialization and training.  Watch for updates once we secure a foster home and get to know him more.
