1/27 Smudgie is doing very well in his foster home.  We have learned a couple more things about him.  He has been such a good boy it's like he's been here forever.  He is more active, not much, however I’ve seen him playing with the dogs.  He tries to get a little goofy with the cats but they aren't impressed.  He loves people and gets very excited when new visitors come over.  Most times he's very polite when greeting but the last few people he has jumped up onto.  I've also noticed that he can be bit of a 'talker'...  it's kinda funny.  We really see this when new people come over.  He shares things very well with the other dogs...  I have not seen any guarding tendencies whether this be towards people, toys, or food, etc.  I also found out that he does like to get on the furniture...  he loves to curl up and cuddle.  However, he is easily re-directed if you'd prefer him to not get on furniture.  Smudgie is a real charmer and is a great dog.  He is kennel trained but I do feel that he wouldn't need this once he's accustomed to his new surroundings.  He sleeps on the floor at night very soundly and quietly.  He is a great boy... keep checking for updates.

1/7 Smudgie has arrived at our home and is quite the gentleman. Smudgie has met and is getting along fine with our 4 dogs.  He is also good with our 5 cats.  When one tells him off he respects that and leaves.  He wasn't eating much at first but that's too be expected with all the changes he's been through...  he will now eat if I sit next to him or I feed him out of my hand.   He walks pretty good on leash.   He has been friendly and polite with everyone he has met. He has not attempted to jump up on anyone. He hasn't barked once or growled. Smudgie also doesn't get on furniture.... I've tried to entice him but I guess he prefers a nice warm comfy blanket to lay on.  Smudgie hasn't been here long so we are still getting to know him but so far he's a great boy.

Smudgie is an awesome brindle boxer boy.  Very well mannered although he will jump up for some boxer kisses.  He has lived with small kids, cats and gets along fine with other dogs.  Smudgie will take off if given the chance and for this reason we would like to see him have a fenced in yard.  He is crate trained although he also does fine with free roam in a dog proof area.

Watch for updates once we get him into a foster home and get to know him more.
