Tigger - Male Boxer

Requirements for this dog:

Good with other dogs, and kids, no history with cats

For more information on this dog read her bio below.

2/23 We are still trying to raise funds for Tigger's very expensive surgery. Until surgery is complete, and he has recovered, he is on medical hold

12/6 Tigger is a clown with paws instead of big red or yellow shoes.  If  you want a dog who will amuse himself for hours...Tigger is the dog for you.  If you want bragging rights claiming your dog can  get to the top of a flight of stairs within the blink of an  eye......Tigger won't let you down.  If you need help luring/getting the kids to bed....Tigger is your  dog.  If you have an old dog or young dog (male or female)  who You think could benefit from a companion/little  buddy.....Tigger is the perfect dog.  If you have  squeaky toys needing a dog who will put them to use....Tigger is  your dog.  If you want a mexican jumping  bean....Tigger is more than happy to accommodate (but  only on command).

Tigger is an absolute joy to have.  He is silly, self entertaining,  and such a loveable little nut.  He is just one cool little buddy for both  people and dogs he loves both. Tigger is acing his steps in joining the  Committee in the dining room.  No more gate and his bowl has been  moving closer and closer towards the dining room. We had a "I fed  Muffin" "No, I fed Muffin" commercial thing going on for about  a week. Tiggie is sporting an extra pound (or 3) right now.

We also have learned that he is obsessed with rays of light from any source (a light spot on the wall - flashlights - a compact mirror reflection--you name  it). We joke that a flashlight could be his babysitter and he'd never know we  were gone.  Honestly he'd sit there for hours and just stare (or jump if  there's movement) at where the light was pointing.  There is nothing nicer than getting the easy going, eager  to please, happy go lucky, squeaker freak, comedian of a dog to foster.  Oh wait...there is....it's knowing that the forever home Tigger goes to  will be just as happy with  him as we are.

11/13 Tigger here!  I am at my foster home and  it's more ike a fur-ster home.  I am with three other boxers....life  is so sweet.  I get to go outside in a fenced yard with my  new fur friends...we hang out...go potty...do a group sniff...mark over each others pee spots...and we race to be first to get back at the door when called.  I haven't won yet.  We are going to work on my recall I was told.   Foster mom calls the four of us  "The Committee".  I was voted in on my first day here.  My fur  brother made sure there was room on the bed for me my 1st night with  them.  I was told to tell everybody that I snore like a  lumberjack.  My deaf fur brother didn't hear a thing, I was  sleeping like a baby...that's my story and I am sticking to  it.  I dine alone right now cuz I inhale my food and look to  help out the others.   --- Later everyone....off to go play!

Foster Mom  here.  Tigger is going to bring a smile to the family/person who adopts him each and every day. He is a total sweetie, easy going little fellow, loveable, playful, silly, and knows his limitations on when  to stop and settle down with his injury issue.  The first dog I ever met that gives himself a time out.  Right now he has his "Happy Meals" (one large bowl with food  and a ball or milkbone in it to slow him  down) alone in the kitchen.  Once he  slows down and knows the leave it command he will join the Committee in the  Dining  Room.

Tigger is a very sweet friendly, brindle male boxer.  He in on the small side for a male.  Good with cats, kids and other dogs.  Housebroken and crate trained.

Tigger has an injury to his voice box/pharynx area which causes some respiratory issues for him, surgery can correct this problem. The estimate we got for this surgery is $1900 on the low side and $2600 on the high side.  Tigger will not be able to proceed with surgery till we raise the necessary funds.  We would appreciate any donation big or small towards his treatment.
