Spike -  Deaf Male Boxer

4/18 Spike to the vet tonight because he really seemed to be having a hard time breathing.  I had thought it might be because he has such a short snout, but that's not the case.  Our vet has diagnosed him with pneumonia and he is currently on 2 separate antibiotics.  They also injected Sub-Q fluids with an anti-biotic while he was there.  We will keep an eye on him to make sure he's eating and drinking and for now, we are keeping him separated from the other dogs.  Hopefully, he'll be feeling better soon.

 

Meet the newest addition to the Boxer Buddies family.  Spike is a gorgeous DEAF white boxer boy.  Because he is deaf we will be looking for a home with a fenced in yard and another dog to be his ears.  As he is still a baby he will need someone who is home most of the day with him to continue to work on his housebreaking.
