Cassius

Cassius - Male Boxer
Requirements for this dog:

Blind. Good with other dogs and kids.

For More information on this dog please read his bio below.

1/3 Cassius has been here for almost two weeks now and he has gotten to know his surroundings very well. He goes up and down our stairs perfectly fine. He is also doing better at listening to us when we tell him no. He is a very very sound sleeper who snores louder than any human or dog that I have ever heard. He loves his breakfast, lunch and dinner which is good because he is kind of on the skinny side. He also can easily tell when he is at a door from feeling the door knob and will bark at the door even if the door is to a closet. He just needs to be guided away from the door and he will leave it alone. He also knows how to open doors if they are not closed all the way. This little guy loves getting any attention and will let you know if he is in need of some by talking to you. I think that he would do really well in a home with another dog since he seems like he needs constant contact with someone or something.  We have come up with a really cute nick name for him which is "ping pong" because he bounces back and forth when exploring his surroundings. Cassius loves to get in your lap and bury his head to cuddle all of the time. He is also great with my daughter who is only two months old. Cassius will be a great dog for a very lucky family.

Cassius arrived last night in our home and is such a sweet boy that is exploring all of the areas of the house and figuring out where everything is located. He bumps his head on everything but we where told that once he figures his surroundings out, he gets around really well. He knows his basic commands but when told no, does not really react so we will have to work on that with him. We will be working on some basic commands with him to help him get around better. He is a real cuddler too so who ever gets him will be very lucky. He is great with my daughter but just needs to be watched to make sure he doesn't walk into her when she is in her chair on the floor. He is good on his leash and only pulls a little bit here and there. If you talk to him he will follow your voice during the walk. We are very excited to get to know this beautiful sweet boy and hope to find the best forever home ever for him.

Cassius was surrendered to rescue as his owners lost their home. He is blind but does very well once he knows his surroundings. Please watch for updates.
