Cinder

6 Month Old Female Boxer, Crate Trained, Good with Other Dogs

Although you may not be able to adopt this dog, you can help us care for him while he is in foster care! Even a donation of $5 will help us with vet care, food, etc.

3/26 - Cinder has been a joy to have here for the past few days.  She is a very fast learner and will need someone who can be consistent, firm, yet gentle with her.  She is a puppy and has all the behaviors that go with being a puppy.  Cinder loves attention and wants to play play play until she cannot play anymore.  We made it a point to walk her 2 miles in the AM and 2 miles in the evening before bed.  This really helped her settle in and relax for night.  She needs this exercise to channel all that energy.  She is fine in the crate although she sometimes whines at first.  As long as she's tired, she'll lay down and rest.  At night, once she's done her business and had her exercise, she will go into her crate (in our room) and sleep, like a baby, until morning.  Cinder is not housebroken, but is learning very fast.  She had no accidents, inside the crate or outside the crate, while with us.  She needs someone home with her most of the time to help her understand where she needs to go potty.  She responds very well to lots of praise for doing the right thing.  She has gotten along great with my dog and just loves to play with her.  They tired each other right out. Cinder loves taking walks and does not really pull.  If she sees something interesting, she may try, but a small correction, gets her back on track.  She also loves riding in the car. We have 2 young children and she tends to try and jump on them, so she should be supervised around small children.  She is quickly learning the "off" command and now sits before she gets affection, food, toys, water, etc.  All in all, Cinder is a typical boxer puppy with endless energy and a love for life.

Meet the latest addition to the BB family.  Cinder is a very cute 6 month old pup.  She arrived at a temporary foster home today and she is doing great.  She gets along with the other dogs and just adores the kids.  She is off to the vet to be spayed next week. She is all puppy with lots of energy and spunk.  She had a bath today which she loved.  Cinder is not yet housebroken so we will be working on this but she will need a forever home where someone is home most of the day with her to continue to work on this. She is an AWESOME puppy!! So sweet and a very fast learner. She does jump up on new people, so we're working on that.

Watch for updates as we get to know this girl.
