Cooper

3 Year Old Neutered Male, Good with Other Dogs & Kids, No History with Cats

Although you may not be able to adopt this dog, you can help us care for him while he is in foster care! Even a donation of $5 will help us with vet care, food, etc.

4/14 - This handsome little man is Cooper.  He's a big boy, and could use to lose a few pounds, but solid as a rock!  Gets along well with our dogs, and is fairly gentle with our toddler, but has a lot of still-puppy-enthusiasm and will jump/climb/knock over anyone or anything in his way.  Cooper has been well trained and knows his commands, although sometimes he chooses to have selective hearing.  However, a second command ALWAYS does the trick.  His one sticky area may be around food or preferred toys, as he has gotten into a few scuffles with our golden.  But he instantly calms down given human intervention, and neither dog seems to hold a grudge.  Cooper loves human attention, and will lean into any person who is petting him.  He also likes to back up and deposit his behind into your lap if you start a back or butt rub, and his face is the picture of contentment.  He's pretty big to be a lap dog, so it's really funny when it happens.  He's crate trained and house trained, and has no accidents.  Content to be in his crate if he has something to chew on.  Although he has moments of excitement, Cooper is pretty mellow for a boxer, and would be just as happy being a couch potato as long as he's getting love and attention.

Cooper is absolutely a sweetie and such a good dog.  He gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. Cooper has attended obedience classes and you can tell. He knows his commands and walks nicely on the leash.   He is a very happy boy.  He is housebroken and crate trained.  He is good with kids big and small. He will make some lucky family VERY happy!!

Watch for updates as we get to know Cooper.
