Dolce

10 Month Old Male, Housebroken, Crate Trained, Good with Other Dogs

Although you may not be able to adopt this dog, you can help us care for him while he is in foster care! Even a donation of $5 will help us with vet care, food, etc.

12/8 - He is doing very well adapting. He loves to play and loves to be around people. He has a really good appetite and never turns his nose up on food. We are working on treating his demadex and he is getting better but he does need some more time. He is the sweetest little angel and eager to please. He is a really big kisser and is not afraid to show affection. He will do anything for cheese or puppy treats. As he grows he is getting really tall. He is having accidents in the house but he is learning to go outside instead. He does have a hard time staying within the gates that we have put up because they are not tall enough and he jumps right over them. He is crate trained and is good with other dogs. He does like to play a little rough but his is a puppy and full of energy. He are a few pictures that have captured how much better he looks already.

11/20 - He is doing very well, getting along very well with the resident boxers. He is soooooo cute I just want to kiss him all over. He is eating well - does get diarrhea off and on but ivermectin can cause that at high doses. I will send pictures soon I haven't been able to get him to sit still when I have the camera in my hand. He is very full of waggles and kisses. For the most part he is house trained but he does have accidents when he has diarrhea. He loves to be rubbed and kissed and loves people.

11/5 - Dolce (pronounced dolechay) has arrived alive and well at his foster home and he is the cutest little little boy. From one night you can tell he has never been trained properly.  He is hard to keep in one place (jumps fences, shimmies under fences, he doesn't know sit.  He digs so much I just want to call him Digger. He does really have bad diarrhea - to the point of water. We are trying to keep him hydrated as much as he will take in.  He also has the cutest little boxer whine. I must get back to him he is ready to play as puppies usually are. I will keep you guys posted as he settles in and once I get some pictures taken I will send them off to you.

Dolce is a fabulous young boxer with a wonderful temperament.  He found himself in a shelter after he developed Demodex Mange (not contagious), the shelter has started his treatment already and although his coat is very thin and patchy right now he should look much better in a few more weeks with medication and a good diet.  He is also a little on the skinny side but his foster home will take care of that also. He is current on his vaccinations and will be neutered soon when he is feeling better. He gets along great with other dogs.

Watch for more updates as we get to know Dolce.
