Jakes

2 Year old Male Boxer, Housebroken, Crate Trained, Good with Other Dogs & Cats, Older Kids

Although you may not be able to adopt this dog, you can help us care for him while he is in foster care! Even a donation of $5 will help us with vet care, food, etc.

2/1 - Jakes has quickly settled into his foster home. He gets along great with his foster sister, even gives her lots of kisses throughout the day!  He plays well with her but so far hasn't given off that usual boxer energy. He seems more laid back and quiet than some of the other boxers we know (like his crazy foster sister!). He will relax when we are relaxing and play when we tell him its ok.  He also knows some commands like sit and come. He walks great on a leash and is very comfortable whenever we take him out in public. He just looks up at people with his cleft lip and smiles. No jumping! Imagine!!

He truly is a great dog and very easy to take care of. He likes to cuddle and get real close to you. He also wags his big nub so fast but doesn't move his bum. It is hilarious. Check it out.

He will make someone a great companion!

Jakes is a very handsome flashy fawn who is coming into rescue as he has not been getting along with the older male boxer in his home, although he is fine with most other males but he would be best with a female dog or as an only dog.  Jakes will be neutered later this week.  He is very sweet full of love and kisses. Jakes has a cleft lip and pallet which is a birth defect but it is barely noticeable and does not cause him any problems.  Watch for more details as he settles in at his foster home.
