Justice
Justice 10 Year Old Male, Housebroken, Good with other Dogs & Cats 10/24 - Hello Everyone. I am doing great at my foster home. I love it here. I have gained weight and my coat is silky smooth. I get along with any dogs that I meet, but what I really love is to be with my people. My bones are still a little achy, but I'm running around with the youngins now. Just wanted to check in so everyone knows that I am doing fabulous 9/10
- Justice is doing very well. Justice has been here for 25 days now and is
fitting in. He loves other dogs and animals. He listens to commands
and comes when called. He had surgery last Thursday to remove 11 lumps
from his body that we are awaiting the test results of. He is eating well,
and has begun to gain some weight. Justice loves his Wellness Senior.
His achy bones have even been feeling better (he told me so). He jumped up
onto the bed this morning for the first time ever, but only when I invited him
up! He sat there looking pitiful until I said "wanna come up".
Justice is a great dog and will make some family very happy. 8/28
- Justice is doing great. He has been here for 12 days now and has done
wonderful. He has not had a single accident in the house. He meets
all guests with the usual boxer wiggles and kisses, but does not jump! He
went with me to an awareness day at Pet Quarters last weekend, and met lots and
lots of dogs and got a long with them all. He preferred the older ones,
they did not try to mount him. He is doing excellent on his joint
supplements, and has stopped limping almost all together. He enjoys
playing with rope toys and loves playing catch. He even started running in
the backyard yesterday, that was the first time he had done that. He loves
the comfy blankets that Auntie Jody left for him, and makes himself nice little
beds while we are gone during the day. Justice is not a counter surfer, or
a trash can diver. He does do a wonderful dance when you ask him if he
wants to go for a walk. It is the best thing I have ever seen. He
bounces from one side of the room to the other. We have been walking
Justice about 1/2 mile a day lately, he seems to be doing better as he gets more
use to it. He really enjoys car rides too. Justice is a great dog,
and will make someone very happy. 8/21 - Justice is doing great. He seems to be adjusting to his life without Zena, he does however have 2 other boxers in the house right now. He is currently taking a couple of supplements to help with his aging bones. He is full of boxer wiggles and love. Justice loves to play, although he gets tired after a little while and likes to rest. Justice has had free roam of the house for the last week while we are at work, just about 6 hours a day. He had his first vet check up and did marvelous. His aches and pains are the only sign that he is 10 years young! Justice is full of life and waiting to find a home full of people to love him. He gets along with all other dogs and cats. He is gentle with babies and other children. He is an absolute gem to have around, the family that adopts this boy is going to be very lucky. Because Justice is so used to having another dog around I would recommend that his forever family have another dog for companionship. The other dog would need to be a little older as the youngins' seem to be a little overwhelming for him. 8/18 - Justice & Zena, life long
companions, came into the Boxer Buddies program on Monday of this week.
Sadly on Wednesday Zena became sick at her foster home and had to be rushed to
the Emergency Vet, where is was discovered that a large mass on her spleen had
ruptured and was causing free flowing blood in her abdomen. In addition
they also discovered another large mass on her liver. It wad decided there
was nothing more we could do for Zena except to end her suffering. Zena
passed to the bridge with her Foster Mom & Dad and Justice by her
side. 8/4 - Justice & Zena have been together
their whole life so we will need to place them together as they would be lost
without each other. They are both housebroken and they are good with most
other dogs, cats and kids. We will update once we get them
into their foster home and get to know this pair. |
