Mirra - 6 Year Old Female Boxer
Requirements for this dog:

We will have more detailed information once he arrives into foster care, please check back soon.

For more information on this dog read his bio below.

Although you may not be able to adopt this dog, you can help us care for her while she is in foster care! Even a donation of $5 will help us with vet care, food, etc.

1/1 Mirra has come a long way since she first came to stay with us.  She was a broken spirited boxer.. and now she is soooo happy.  She had a great Xmas.  I kept telling her this is her best Christmas ever!  She is a great dog.  There isn't one thing that is negative about her.

11/13 Everything is great with Mirra.  She is a happy girl. She now plays with our guy, Rific.  She is a clumsy girl. She does the funniest running when she gets excited for play.  She is such a shadow... to the point if you stop to turn around she bumps into you! She's had full recovery from her surgeries.  I'm thinking about giving her a bath this week.  They both need one to freshen up!

10/25 Mirra had her staples removed today and they said she was a fantastic patient.  She is sweet to everyone.  She can have regular activity.  She is able to be crated or gated in kitchen when left alone.  I think she would be fine to be left to roam when alone too.  She loves to just sleep in her crate all curled up in the blankets in there.  She is in there often for her naps.  She enjoys her walks too.  She walks great on the leash.  She eats so politely from your hand.  She knows sit, down, stay, and shake paw.  She does not try to get on furniture, although she is allowed on our bed at times and only comes up when called.  She's beginning to rough-house with our male boxer, Rific, when outside.  She likes to nip at his legs to instigate things.  She'll also play tug-o-war when inside too.  She would also do fine as an only dog.  She's completely house-broken.... The perfect companion for a quiet family or single person that is very laid-back.

10/17 - Mirra is settling in well at her foster home.  She is pretty good with our cat.  Mirra does tend to get a little too focused on her the more she's getting settled with us.  I will call her to divert her attention when I see her a little too interested in the cat.  Other times the cat walks right past her and Mirra doesn't care.  If the cat runs, that will get Mirra's attention.  Definitely not a real concern.

She's doing great.  She seems to be getting a little bit itchy at incisions and is licking, but as of right now no concerns with that.  Today is her last day for antibiotics.

I call her Mirra the meek.  She's soo sweet.  She's quiet... haven't heard her bark.  Does not get over excited when people come in.  She walks great on a leash.  Nose to the ground sniffing and sometimes marks like a male dog!    A great companion dog.  I think she would do better in a home w/o young children.  She's not playful much that we've seen.  She follows me around from room to room and tilts her head when she looks at you and she has the most beautiful outline of her eyes... almost like a dark eyeliner with a long line to the outside of each eye.

I have a couple of new pictures of her laying on her bed.  I'll send you those.  I hope to get a few of her outside standing so you can see her full length.  She's a petite girl with the round trunk.

Mirra is a gorgeous 6 year old Boxer girl looking for a loving home. Mirra has two mast cell tumors that will be removed ASAP.  She is spayed and is up to date with all of her shots. She has a wonderful personality, she gets along with with other dogs and has also lived with cats and small kids.  She has great manners, walks nicely on a leash and knows her basic commands. She is also crate trained and housebroken.  Mirra will take off if given the opportunity so she may do best with a fenced in yard.

Watch for updates once we secure a foster spot for Mirra.
