Nola

2 Year Old Female Boxer, Good with Other Dogs, Housebroken & Crate Trained

Although you may not be able to adopt this dog, you can help us care for her while she is in foster care! Even a donation of $5 will help us with vet care, food, etc.

8/7 Nola is just as goofy as it gets....  she spent a good 1/2 hour to an hour barking, play bowing, and wrestling with a Kong.  She has come a little ways in just a week.

Meeting her foster Dad for the first time went a little harsh but over a good hour or more she finally warmed up to him.  He fed her and watered her for 2 days straight, sat with her on the couch and now she LOVES him.

Yesterday, I had her outside and walking through the grassy field on our property, she was on this long 15-20 long line, and she started running these circles around me, jumping through the puddles, laying in this puddle, running, flying through the air and landing in the dam thing, rolling around, snorting.....  OH MY WORD it was HILARIOUS!!!!  I wanted someone else to witness it and ran to get her foster Dad, we went back to the same spot and I jumped in the puddle a little to entice her again....  she started, snorting, running, jumping, leaping, rolling, biting the splashes, rubbing her face all in the puddle.....

I just allowed her to meet one of her foster brothers, Chisel, I walked them through the house, out the door, placed Chisel in a wait and walked her around.   Got her a little more focused on me and not so much on him and they met played, rough housed and all that brought them outside.  I let Chisel go as he'll stop and drop if asked to he wanted to play with her rough so bad then he took off to get her to chase him and she started running, they were doing circles  went under the tree started the mouth jousting, It actually went better then I actually expected!  Ended on a good note and she's chewing on a hoof right now.......

More updates to follow.

Nola is a gorgeous fawn boxer.  She is a very shy at first with new people but warms up in time.  Nola is housebroken and crate trained but could definitely do with some basic obedience training.

Watch for updates as we get to know Nola.
