Sadie
2 Year Old Female, Housebroken, Small Dogs OK, No Big Dogs
4/14 Sadie is back at her foster home after a couple
days at the kennel while her foster mom was away. She was well behaved for
the kennel, but being there makes her very stressed. She came home and
slept for quite a while - did not even stare at the cat much. Now that she
is back in familiar surroundings, she has become her normal, high-energy,
goofy self.
4/6 Sadie is doing well in her foster
home. She has been with me for about 2 months now and has adjusted well.
She is crate trained and likes her crate a lot. Sadie thinks cats are
fascinating - she will stare at them for hours. I think if a cat ran, she
would chase it, but would not hurt it. Sadie and other dogs is a bit
of a mystery. When she first came to us we were told she was nto good with
large dogs but since she has been in foster care she has spent time with
three submissive males (a lab and two boxers) and has been fine - as long
as she is the dominant one. However, she also saw a beagle at the vet and
the hair was on end and she was barking and whining. She seems to do
better meeting other dogs off leash, leash aggressions is not an uncommon
problem and it can be worked on.
3/20 Miss Sadie has been in her foster home for a while now. She is a very smart girl and loves attention. She and the resident cat have become pretty good friends. One of Sadie's foster brothers taught her how nice sleeping on the foster mom's bed could be, so now she is a permanent fixture each night (what a snorer she is!!)
Sadie stays off the rest of the furniture though. She
loves her crate and will sit in it at night when she is not staring at the
cat. She loves the snow and had a great time running around in it. Not as
big of a fan of puddles and rain!
2/28 - Sadie has been in her foster home for a few weeks now. What a sweet girl! She just craves human attention and will sit and let you scratch her ears and pet her for hours. For the most part she still does not get up on the furniture, although she has crawled into bed with her foster mom (and the cat!) a of couple nights.
Sadie is fine with the cat, but likes to stare at him,
which he does not appreciate. She spent a week with a submissive male lab
and did fine. She would have liked him to play with her a bit more, but
otherwise fine.
Sadie LOVES food. She was a little thin when she got
here, but has put on a couple of pounds and looks better now.
Sadie has also come to like her crate. She is in the
crate during the day while her foster mom is at work and will also sleep in
it with the door open in the evenings sometimes.
She is very smart and if she knows she has done
something bad (i.e ripping open a 10 pound bag of cat litter and spreading
it over the living room rug), she will curl up on her back and cower. She
needs some reassurance that it is okay or else she will not move from that
spot (seems like maybe she was mistreated in the past and is just waiting
for it to happen again).
Ideally, Sadie would like a fenced in yard or someplace
safe that she could run off leash. She loves the snow and being outside. Is
your home the right one for this pretty little girl?
2/11 - Sadie has been here in her foster home for a couple of days. She has settled in very nicely and is just the sweetest dog. Sadie knows her basic commands and walks pretty well on her leash. She does not get on furniture, but loves her dog bed. Sadie has been crated during the day when her foster mom is out and has been very good. She gets so excited to get out of the crate though - jumps and twists and runs around the living room. Her little tail is constantly in motion. She does not have much experience with cats and is rather curious about the resident cat here. But she would definitely not hurt him. She just wants to sniff and check him out
Sadie is a happy fun little girl who would love to have a
forever home to give her kisses and hugs to!
Sadie is a gorgeous 2 year old female boxer who loves everyone including kids. She is very sweet and friendly. She has lived with a small dog in the past but does not do well with larger dogs. She met the cat at her foster home and seems to be doing fine with him. Watch for updates as she settles in at her foster home. |
