Tyson

3 Year Old Male, Housebroken, Good with Other Dogs & Cats

Although you may not be able to adopt this dog, you can help us care for him while he is in foster care! Even a donation of $5 will help us with vet care, food, etc.

11/5 - He is doing great with the crating… he was crated today for 4 hours and yesterday for 4 hours without a problem. He is very responsive to training and quite obedient. He will now even “sing” happy birthday on command… it’s very funny. He rides great in the car, walks well on a leash, has been around children of all ages and is great with them, he knows “stop, heel, sit, down, off, high five, paw, stay, leave it, no, go team (a double high five), gimme kisses, gimme hugs, and I am working on “speak”… if his foot was healed I bet he would already know “crawl”… he is a smart cookie… motivated by a cookie of course!

Tyson is used to having someone home with him for most of the day so we will be looking for a similar schedule in his forever home.  We would also like to see him placed in a home with another dog for company.

10/29 - Tyson is doing great at his foster home.  Loves the two female dogs is his foster home and can even eat out of the same bowl with no issues, he is also fine with sharing his toys.  He also loves to play in the back yard with them.  He may like a fur sister in his forever home.  He is fine in his crate.  He can jump a baby gate very easily so he will probably need 6 foot fencing in his new home.  Tyson appears to know some basic commands.  He gives lots of kisses and wiggles his little tushy like crazy. Tyson is a very good boy and as long as he is getting his exercise needs met and is given the opportunity for channeling his energy in a positive way, he is going to make someone a great companion.

This handsome young guy is Tyson.  He is currently nursing an injury to his foot but will be fully healed in a couple of weeks.  Tyson is good with other dogs and getting along great with the two dogs in his foster home.  Has lived with small children but due to his energy level might be best with older children.  Tyson is a bit on the skinny side but his foster Mom will be working on that.  Tyson will need a home where he will get the time and attention a young boxer needs including plenty of exercise.

Watch for more updates as we get to know Tyson.
