Weasie - Female Boxer
Requirements for this dog:

Good with other dogs, older kids, crate trained

For more information on this dog read her bio below.

6/30 Weasie's temperament has improved drastically in the past month and a half.  She no longer has food aggression issues.  We can put her bowl down last now and it does not seem to phase her.  She is completely potty trained.  Oh yeah I forgot to mention that Weasie is now a 58lb lap dog.   She loves to watch TV...and is quite the Red Sox fan!  Recently, Weasie also began a new hobby as an excavator.  She enjoys digging holes and wrestling with her foster brother T-Bone in the back yard.  Weasie does not mind going in her crate, but if we are home and she is in there for a while she will make lots of noise. She is a good girl in her crate when we are not home.  Weasie is an excellent, sweet, loving young lady and will make a great companion for someone!!!

6/19 We have discovered that Weasie does not like going to the vet and is not tolerant of exams or needles and needs to be muzzled for vet exams.

6/2 Weasie is a great girl!  Her food aggression towards the other dogs has improved quite a bit.  As long as we put her bowl down first she is fine.  She lets the other three eat their food with no problem....but must lick each and every empty bowl on the floor when the other dogs are done eating.  Weasie has not had any more accidents in the house...she will walk over to the door to let you know when she needs to go outside.  Weasie is crate trained, however she does have some separation anxiety issues while in there.   I do believe she would do good with another canine companion as she loves to cuddle and play with the other dogs in my home.  She is a very playful, loving girl who needs lots of attention.  Weasie absolutely loves to run outside in the back yard with a toy in her mouth and let the other dogs chase her.  Weasie is ready to find her forever home!

5/14 Weasie is starting to settle in.  Introductions to my 3 boxers went ok.  She arrived here yesterday and ran around the back yard for a while playing with us and toys.  She did go to the bathroom outside, however she also had a few accidents in the house.  Her first night she laid down on the floor... then would get up and start pacing around the room.  That went on for a couple of hours then she slept the rest of the night.  I just think she was nervous... it being her first night here just coming from the shelter.  Weasie is a VERY high energy girl and has the funniest boxer wiggle, her whole body shakes!  She runs and trots around the yard with excessive speed. She is VERY generous with her kisses to us and our other dogs.  She also loves play wrestling with my dogs.  She is a bit food aggressive, she mows her food very fast.  When she is finished eating she tries to go after the other dogs' food.  We will try working on this with her.  She is a pretty, big girl and still has some growing to do.  With her size and high energy level, I think she would do best with a fenced in yard and no small kids.

Weasie is a gorgeous young brindle female boxer, she is VERY active and needs a home where she will get lots of exercise and will need an owner willing to work with her.  She has lived with small kids in the past but due to her energy level we think she would be better with older kids.  She loves other dogs and would enjoy the company of a canine companion to help her burn off some of that energy and fenced in yard would also be a good idea for her.  She is house broken and crate trained she has lived with cats but can be a little too rough with them. Watch for updates as her foster home gets to know her.
