Micah

Micah has been living with his new
"mom" for a little over a year now and everything is great. As you can
see, Micah has grown into a handsome boy.

It
seems like only last month I was BEGGING Sue and Penny to allow me to have
a boxer baby. Oh yeah, it was last month!! What a
difference that month has made in my life. My friend and I
drove from Myrtle Beach (where we were vacationing) to Bellingham, MA, to
pick up Micah. I was so scared he wouldn't like us, or be a
terror in the car on the way back to Pennsylvania, I was a bundle of
nerves. When Micah's foster mom brought him to Penny's house,
I fell in
love with him. I couldn't understand why anyone could give up
such a gorgeous puppy. You see, Micah has diabetes insipidus
and must take medication every eight hours to control his urine output.
Anyhow, I have never regretted adopting Micah once. He has
only had one accident in the house in the 3+ weeks he's been here. I took him to meet my veterinarian last Friday. She gave him a good
"once-over" and everyone in the office fell in love with him.
To sum it up, Micah acts as though he has been part of my family forever.
He adores his older "brother" Teo (the basenji) and he's been
great with everyone we've met. He seems to have claimed the couch
for himself, though he will
share with me IF he can rest his head in my lap. HAHA I would
recommend Boxer Buddies to anyone wanting to bring a little joy into their
life by helping a boxer. I can't think of anything more satisfying than
helping a "special needs" pet.
Thanks, Sue and Penny (and foster mom, Irene) You did a great
job with Micah ... and I pray he's with me a long time!!!
The daily kidney bean dance and boxer kisses suit me just fine!!!
