Buddy Buddy getting kisses from Rudy! The gang: Clay, Rudy, Buddy, staring at that pretty foster girl Cheri! (Buddy has a crush on Cheri)
Buddy was not adopted from Boxer Buddies but he's a rescue just the same. I adopted Buddy from the L.A. Rescue in California in March of 99. He's had a pretty rough life. He was diagnosed with hip dysplasia when he was younger but nothing was ever done. When the pain was too unbearable and he could no longer put weight on his leg, he was given up to rescue. The LA Rescue paid for the surgery but unfortunately arthritis had already begun. He came to live with our family shortly after the surgery and the hard work of rehab began. He is doing great! He can put weight on his leg now, hardly walks with a limp and is a great guy. He still has some pretty bad days with arthritis but with the help of supplements and aspirin (on really bad days), he's fine. Buddy especially loves his "kids" and whenever we go anywhere, they must always be in his sight. He loves when people come to visit, in fact, he believes everyone has come to see HIM! As you can see by the pictures, Buddy tends to have a "sad" face but don't let him fool you. That's his "I'm so lonely PLEASE put down the camera and pet me" face! So as you can see, it's not where you rescue from, it's all about those great Boxer Babies. Sue :) <yup me again!> |
