LET US TELL YOU A BIT ABOUT US, WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE DO, AND OUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE OF BOXER RESCUE:

Thank you for your interest in BOXER BUDDIES RESCUE, INC. We are based locally in Bellingham, MA. The main goal of our organization is to provide the many unwanted, abandoned, mistreated Boxers with the tender loving care that they truly deserve.

Boxer Buddies began with just the two of us, and with the help of many volunteers and input from other rescue leagues, we are growing rapidly, rescuing and placing many Boxers each week.

When a dog comes into our rescue program they are examined by our vet, brought up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested, fecal tested, and put on heartworm preventive. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption if they are old enough (we feel it is better for the dog to wait until they are 6 months of age). If the dog is too young to be spayed/neutered, we require a signed spay/neuter contract and an addition $50 deposit, at the time of the adoption, which is reimbursed upon proof of spay/neuter. We treat any illness that can be treated, regardless of the cost, when the dog comes into the program. We do not euthanize sick dogs if their illness can be treated, i.e.; heartworm positive, etc. Our organization believes that every dog that enters our program deserves the best chance possible at a happy and healthy life!

Our main goal here is to rescue and place needy boxers. Many of these beautiful dogs have had a very "ruff" start, having been abandoned, abused, and/or neglected. We have dedicated ourselves to helping as many of these dogs as we possibly can.

There are many rescue leagues out there, many of them are dedicated to saving the lives of boxers, as we are. We all try to work together to improve the chances of all of the dogs we take in. Rescue is by no means a perfected "science", which is why we rely on input from our volunteers, other rescue organizations, and our loyal supporters, always hoping to improve on the reputation of rescue work.

Thanks for visiting. Please feel free to continue browsing our site. We sincerely hope you will contact us with any questions and/or comments.
